A Mexican-American Tejano from Lubbock, Texas with a love of Tacos and Tequila. He is a graduate from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Strategies. Jake comes from a single family household and is an advocate for diversity and inclusion efforts and works as a voice for members of the disabled community. Though his last name is Quintanilla, and his go to move is the washing machine, he is not kin to Selena.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas (baby!), Ashlea is a Mexican-American Tejana with a passion for Latin music, dance, and the food. As the founder would say, Ash is a chingona (boss lady) by day and night, helping move forward the initiatives and events of the Mi Casa Es Su Casa Network 24/7. She is also involved in other diversity and inclusion programs, including the Multicultural Student Advertising Program, the Manhattan Early College of Advertising Mentorship Program, and the Most Promising Mulitcultural Student Program.
California Chicano that loves music, dancing, donuts, and tacos. A creative that loves to create from start to finish and teach, learn, repeat. He considers himself a professional trouble shooter that tries to find more than one solution for every problem because one way might not be the best way.
Nicholas Tejada is a Chicano from Phoenix, Arizona who loves film, story telling, and exploring new cities and ideas. Nick graduated from the University of San Francisco with a B.A in Advertising and is now a Graphic Designer with The Soze Agency. Having participated in numerous leadership programs focusing on empowering young people of color, Nicholas understands the importance of building community and lifting each other up. Nicholas is proud to be on the MCESC team.
